About Me

Hi! Thank you for stopping by.

I’m E.L. Wicker, a lover of all things New Adult. I read it, write it – heck, I live and breathe it!

My debut New Adult Paranormal Romance was released in December 2014 and the follow up is coming soon.

    • Unfortunately not and it is only temporary. I have put a shout out on a site that I am part of. Most of the people there live in various states along the Appalachian Trail. The picture that I want is of the Appalachians in the fall and another of a goldenrod field. Fingers crossed I’ll have some soon. I’ve never been lucky enough to visit America but when I do I’ll be taking a gazillion shots πŸ™‚ Not that I am all that good with a camera!

  1. Hey Emma! Thanks for the follow! Stay tuned for a new post tomorrow on SitS. If you ever need editing or want someone to “review” your work, let me know! I’m always happy to help out a fellow blogger and writer.

    • Thank you πŸ™‚ I was just rummaging around on your blog looking for the most recent post so I look forward to reading tomorrow πŸ™‚ I will be looking for an editor soon but its bulky, lots of words! At the moment 75k and growing but would be interested to know your prices πŸ™‚ It’s really nice to connect to someone else. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to not only visit but comment too πŸ™‚ x

  2. I find music very inspirational. When I was writing the chapters from the point of view of my pirate captain in Ship of Dreams, I kept playing U2’s “With or Without You” over and over again.

    • I thought I was the only one that did that! I think everyone thinks I’m nuts because the same song repeats for hours when I’m writing something relating to it! Thank you for commenting and following, I really appreciate it πŸ™‚

      • My pleasure! When I wrote my first fantasy novel, I played “The Best of Berlin” over and over again. I really love instrumental music for inspiration. It makes the movie play in my head, you know?

      • I know exactly! My fight scenes I use fast tempo, sad scenes I turn to instrumental, then the heartbreak/love, I have a catalog of varying types of love songs for them! I really do take inspiration from music. I wrote a song the other night that really relates to my characters feelings, just on impulse!

      • How wonderful! I like piano or violin music for the really emotional scenes. The music of Kyoshi Yoshida is great for fight scenes and action. My favorite song makes me think of the hero riding a horse really fast down a beach at high noon.

  3. Hey Emma, thanks for coming to see me at Steve Says…come again, stay a while – have a drink even! I look forward to this blogging journey with you. Steve…

  4. Very interesting site and well managed! As a self-published author myself I’m always looking for faster and easier ways to get this done. I’ll be seeing you around! Thanks for some great info!
